SPIRIT WARRIOR: Reverence While the World Burns
The human experience is not for the faint of heart. There is a truth that surpasses the circumstances of our earthly existence. I am connected to that truth — not without suffering, but beyond the suffering.
I've seen what the system has done to the land and its people.
Institutions and governments don’t operate from care; they have their own agenda. And it doesn't include the well-being of humanity.
As a child of immigrant parents who fled a country torn by war — traumatized, terrorized, separated from family and everything they had ever known — I've seen the Darkness at work since childhood. I know very well of its existence.
At 5 years old, while shopping at the street markets with my grandmother, I witnessed a terrorist act in my motherland of Lebanon. She pulled me close to her body while we waited for whatever was happening on the other side of the drapes to end.
A few minutes later, the curtain went back up, and everyone continued business as usual — or at least that's what it seemed like to 5-year-old me.
I remember hearing bombs blasting off in the background while my mother and aunties had their morning coffee and cigs, and read their fortune in coffee grounds at the bottom of their empty cups.
They were joyful and tearful, all in one breath. They lived with their whole hearts. They surrendered their worries to God and served their families with devotion and courage.
I come from a lineage that sings, dances, and prays in the midst of war, famine, and poverty — but make no mistake, my culture is rich. My people are powerful.
To understand suffering is to know the value of joy.
If you do not learn to love life — horrors and beauty — you are not alive. The Enemy owns your soul. We cannot live in anger, hatred, and fear until the world fixes itself — because it won't.
If you are still waiting for justice from systems built on injustice, your alignment with discernment needs tending. The political system is a stage, and we are watching the show.
They pick a subject, throw out a few opposing perspectives, and watch us fight with our fellow humans over which version of injustice is better.
Then we pat ourselves on the back for being “involved,” applauding “small wins” while crimes against humanity continue.
The idea that if we just fight harder or scream louder is the illusion — and the distraction.
The painful truth is — if they wanted to do better, they would've.
Begging or “demanding” the system to act in integrity is like asking your abuser to suddenly become your healer — or waiting for a slave master to grow a conscience.
This is not about looking away or giving up — it’s about rising up. The system will not liberate you — only you can do that.
Our energy is our most powerful currency. The Universe responds to who we are being. We must be discerning and take accountability for our behavior as we rage for the greater good.
This is spiritual and psychological warfare — an attack on the human spirit. This revolution calls for the evolution of human consciousness. A new way of being.
Rebellion looks different to the awakened. We don't seek peace — we become it.
We don't participate in systems designed to divide us — we know this is where war and injustice thrive.
We pour our energy into our heart space. We get solid — from the inside out. We build our own systems and villages. We anchor into structures that build up the human spirit. We learn how to serve humanity with what we have.
We offer support from a place of groundedness and strength — not erratic and sloppy emotions. We feel the darkness, but we won’t be owned.
We become a sanctuary in human form for those in need.
We must continue to engage in the beauty of life and hold joy as the holy medicine it is. We must keep dancing, singing, using our voice, and being the light to those who have none. This is where we find our greatest power and liberation.
The women that came before me embodied the power of spirit. They had reverence for life. They did not dim their light — not in despair, nor the darkest of places.
In Devotion to Truth and the Rise of the Human Spirit,
-Nicole
